How To Book Your Holiday
- Please make sure that you have read and fully understood the booking conditions below
- Provisional bookings can be made by phone or by e-mail
- To confirm a booking - please complete the Online Booking Form and e-mail it to us.
- Deposits are payable in £ sterling for UK residents direct to our A/C in the UK or in Euros () to our French A/C for those from outside the UK.
- Booking confirmation: an Invoice will be issued, on receipt of your Booking form and deposit payment, showing the full amount payable.
- Final payment of the Invoice in Euros () to our French A/C must be made within 8 weeks of the start of a holiday.
- For last minute bookings within 8 weeks of the start of the holiday - payment in full in Euros () by bank transfer must be made on booking.
*** We strongly advise that you take out holiday insurance to cover unforeseen circumstances that might result in the cancellation of a booking
BOOKING CONDITIONS
The following booking conditions, the web-page contents and pricing and any reasonable conditions stated within the property itself represent part of the terms and conditions of the contract between us and those named on the booking form.
Receipt of the completed booking form, once confirmed by us, means that you have understood and accepted the terms of this contract.
Please read carefully:
- Payment: Receipt of a 25% non-refundable
deposit and full payment within 8 weeks of the start of your holiday
or as stated in 4,5 & 6 of "How to Book" above
- Failure to Pay the Final Invoice in
full within 8 weeks will result in the cancellation of your holiday and
conditions for Cancellation below will apply:
- Cancellation within 12 weeks of your
holiday booking will result in the forfeit of the total rental — any
balance is payable immediately - whether you are insured or not.
If another letting is achieved for the property
concerned, you may later receive an ex-gratia payment taking account of
any losses incurred.
- Security Deposit: We ask for a security deposit of £600/700 to be deposited to either our UK or French Bank A/C no later than 14 days prior to the start of the holiday. This will be returned to you within 7 days of the end of your holiday after the property has been checked. Should there be any breakages, loss or damage incurred; extra cleaning or refuse removal, then costs will be deducted from the security deposit before the balance is returned to you.
- Web-site Details: We try to ensure that the details published on our web-site are accurate.
However, house furnishings may not be the same as shown, as these are constantly under review
Should we have to cancel a booking for example, due to damage or reasons outside our control then we will refund all monies paid by you.
- Included in the Booking Price: ‘Normal’ use
of gas, electricity and water, tea-towels and cleaning materials, the
use of the property and its contents, the swimming pool and surrounding
grounds and facilities (with the exception of the grounds immediately
surrounding the owners' house).
Above average / excessive use
of gas, electricity and water will be charged extra.
- Not included in the Booking Price: cleaning unless requested, removal of rubbish, and heating, which is charged at cost price. See price list on booking form for charges for these services.
- Cleaning: The property should be left as you find it. All rubbish must be removed to bins at the entrance to the property and/or the village recycling units. A price per sack will be levied for any rubbish left in the property.
Final cleaning is 15 per hr and if required must be arranged in advance of arrival.
However, please note, the property must be left in a reasonable condition. Additional cleaning costs will be levied for houses left in a disordered or excessively
dirty state.
- Responsibility: No responsibility will
be accepted for any claims resulting from accidents to children or clients
of any age in or near the property, swimming pool, lake or elsewhere.
- Compensation: No compensation will be
paid for anything which happens beyond our control including Force Majeur
(unusual or unforeseen circumstances which could not have been avoided
however careful we may be).
*** We strongly advise you to take out full holiday
and health insurance and bring a valid EH1C health card
- Property Care: We reserve the right to enter the properties at reasonable times to carry out any necessary maintenance, gardening etc. Clients are requested not to touch or interfere with pool equipment and materials, or to allow any abuse or misuse of the pool or surrounding property and equipment which might result in damage. We reserve the right to take any relevant action, including termination of the letting, and to charge full costs for replacement and repairs resulting from misuse or abuse of the property.
- Swimming Pool: Depending on the weather, the pool is normally open from the start of June until mid or late September.
The pool is closed overnight for cleaning.
The owners reserve the right to use the pool when not in use by clients and outside of pool opening hours.
- Wildlife: You are staying in the heart
of the country and might receive ‘unexpected and not always welcome
visitors’ depending on the season and the weather. We will
help where we can but often the ‘small’ nuisance caused by
birds and insects are unavoidable.
